Vesto
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Vesto is an AI styling app. You photograph your clothes, and the app scores outfits and builds suggestions from the pieces you already own. Doing that requires your photos and some information about you, so this page sets out exactly what is collected, why, and who else touches it.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and the app contains no advertising or analytics trackers.
1. Who we are
This app and service are operated by Vesto (“we”, “us”). For any question about this policy or your data, write to support@vestoai.co.
2. What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To create your account and sign you in. We send a one-time code to it; there is no password. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive whatever Apple passes on — which may be a private relay address rather than your real one — and your name, if you choose to share it. |
| Photos you take or upload | To detect the garments in them, score an outfit, and build your wardrobe. Photos of clothes you save are stored so your wardrobe persists between sessions. |
| Style profile — gender, height, weight, body shape, preferred fit, skin tone, hair colour, colour preferences | Optional. Provided by you in Profile, and used only to make suggestions fit you rather than an average person. You can leave any of it blank or clear it later. |
| Approximate location | Only if you allow it. Used to show local weather and to suggest outfits suited to it. Weather is retrieved through Apple WeatherKit. You can refuse or revoke this at any time in iOS Settings; the app works without it. |
| Subscription status | Which plan you have, when it renews, and Apple’s identifier for the purchase. Needed to give you what you paid for and to stop one purchase being reused on several accounts. |
| Usage counts | How many analyses, suggestions and studio shots you have used in the current period, so allowances can be enforced and shown to you. |
Payments. Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store. Apple handles the payment — we never see or receive your card details, and no payment information reaches our servers.
3. How your photos are handled
- Photos are uploaded over an encrypted connection and stored on Cloudflare R2.
- To analyse an outfit or generate a clean image of a garment, the photo is sent to Google’s Gemini models (via Google Cloud Vertex AI). Garment detection also runs on our own server.
- Photos are used to deliver the feature you asked for. They are not used to train our own models, and they are not published anywhere or shown to other users.
- Share cards are generated on your device. Nothing is posted anywhere unless you share it yourself.
4. Who else processes your data
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose listed:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store subscriptions, WeatherKit.
- Google Cloud (Vertex AI / Gemini) — image and outfit analysis.
- Cloudflare R2 — image storage.
- MongoDB Atlas — the database holding your account and wardrobe.
- Railway — hosting for our server.
- Resend — sending your sign-in codes by email.
Each of these providers acts on our instructions only. We require them, by contract, to protect your data to at least the standard described in this policy, to use it solely to provide the service to us, and never for their own purposes. We do not share your data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.
These providers operate outside your country in some cases, so your data may be processed abroad, including in the United States and the European Union.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data and wardrobe items: for as long as your account exists.
- Sign-in codes: minutes — they expire quickly by design.
- Usage counters: for the current and recent billing periods.
- When you delete your account, your account record, profile, wardrobe items and stored photos are deleted. Some records may remain briefly in backups before those expire.
6. Your choices
- Delete your account — Profile → Delete Account, inside the app. It is permanent.
- Edit or clear your style profile — Profile → Physical Profile.
- Delete individual garments — press and hold an item in your wardrobe.
- Location and camera — grant or revoke in iOS Settings at any time.
- Access or export — write to support@vestoai.co and we will respond.
Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account, and deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel that in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
7. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Your session token is held in the iOS Keychain. Access to the database and image storage is restricted to the service itself. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not store payment details or passwords, which removes the two things most worth stealing.
8. Children
Vesto is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
9. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects how your data is used, tell you in the app.
